Powerflushing

Ensuring the water within your heating system is free from sludge and debris is paramount to the efficiency and reliability of your boiler and radiators.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms with your heating system you may need a powerflush:

  • Boiler noisy or banging when running

  • Cold or uneven temperatures across your radiators

  • Radiators taking a long time to heat up

  • Black water when bleeding radiators

  • Radiators leaking from corrosion

  • Frequent on/off cycling of boiler

  • Hot water running hot and cold (combination boilers)

  • Frequent component failure

  • Blockages in pipework

How a powerflush works

Powerflushing

A dedicated machine and magnetic filter is connected to your heating system.

Chemicals are added to the water to help break down the build up of sludge.

As the machine pumps around the pipework, the magnet captures the metallic debris preventing it from being recirculated.

A combination of altering the direction the water flows and agitating the radiator with a vibrating device dislodges the sludge.

Clean water is then pumped through the system flushing out any non-metallic debris and chemicals.

In order for the flushing process to be effective, alterations to your pipework and radiator valve upgrades may be required.
